What makes Gotham Knights different then other DC games in existence is that
Gotham focuses solely on the city of Gotham and its residents. Powers are
not the key here, in fact characters should not have any though a low
level Meta could be passed if the app is exceptional and the character is
a villain. The reason for this is to encourage the RP which makes up the
day to day life in Gotham City.
The city has been rebuilt since the end of No Man's Land and for many life
has returned to normal this last year. But with the restoration of Gotham
City as part of the US, many of its former residents have returned to take
up their old lives beside their neighbors who never left as well as the
newcomers coming to start new lives.The comic cutoff for Gotham Knights
is the end of the 'Batman Fugitive'
story. Due to the fact the story ended in different months for
different comics we have selected the next issue for our cutoff or the
next issue that was not in the middle of a story arc. For a clear idea
of which issues are our cutoff see NEWS CUTOFFS.
Some people may not like how a certain character is written at this cutoff but in order to keep all FCs on the same page history and knowledge wise
we will adhere to this cutoff.
We will also adhere to a character being the comic version and not a version
from a movie, Elseworlds or the animation series. If you need assistance
admin will help you as much as we can without writing your character for
you.
Post-Continuity characters can be apped with prior Admin approval. Please
note there may be conditions or slight modifications required to app these
characters.
